The G-string is often the "trouble string" due to its physics. On most guitars, it has the least amount of tension relative to its core thickness, and the break angle over the nut is often suboptimal. We recommend high-precision nut lubrication and ensuring at least 3-4 wraps around the tuning post for maximum stability.

A440 is the international standard for musical pitch. Our tuner defaults to this for compatibility with modern ensembles. 432Hz is a historical and alternative frequency often associated with different resonance theories. You can toggle this in our advanced settings menu under "Calibration Specs".

Intonation should be checked every time you change string gauges or at the change of seasons (due to humidity/neck movement). If your guitar is in tune at the open strings but sharp/flat at the 12th fret, it requires bridge adjustment.
